Taking SNT
Learn how to study the Bible for yourself
What is it like to take SNT?
SNT is a 9-month school that meets once a week for three hours, with an additional 8–10 hours of homework outside of class. Using the SNT inductive study method, you’ll follow a step-by-step process that reframes how you approach Scripture and opens the door to the real transformation the living Word of God brings. Through this journey, SNT will equip you to grow in knowledge and experience the heart of God as he reveals himself in his Word.
As you walk through these steps, you’ll learn to uncover what the text meant in its original context and culture. This approach helps you set aside assumptions, past experiences, and pre-formed opinions, allowing you to see how God’s Word continues to bring powerful transformation to your life today.
You’ll be paired with a staff member who will guide and coach you through the year, providing weekly feedback and support as you learn.

FAQ
-
The inductive study method follows three steps: observation, interpretation, and application. Unlike deductive reasoning—which begins with assumed beliefs or widely accepted interpretations and then searches the text for evidence to support them—the inductive approach searches the text first, allowing Scripture to speak for itself and guide us to conclusions through careful observation and attention to context.
The SNT method is a distinct, step-by-step approach to the inductive study method that guides you through the process of observing, interpreting, and applying the text.
